Hello guys, I`m from Bulgaria and I don`t know German , and Google translator isn`t good. I was hoping if there is someone that could help me with some enigne tuning on a Simson s51 enduro. I don`t mean kits or things , I am thinking about little improvements like lightening the flywheel , making the combustion chamber smaller to get higher compression . These are my ideas by now. I was wondering if you could give me any other tips about tuning my Enduro ![]()

the idea with the flywheel isn't the best because because you can't feel an effect.
You can trim the cylinder head, but the compression shouldn't top 11bar. what compression do you have now?
then you can cut the exhaust mainfold (Auspuffkrümmer?) about 5-7cm. that's for a higher engine speed. -

Cut it as short as you can, but think about to plug your exhaust pipe onto it after cut. -
Well if you have any other ideas how to improve my power I`d be glad to hear them. What do you think of puttin cork in the piston and the holes on the crankshaft and cover it with epoxid reason so it won`t absorb the gas to increase the compression ratio ?

I think it won´t work when you put cork in your crankshaft.
The cut of the exhaust is the right way otherwise you can not get out much power.
only you can edit your cylinder to a 50ccm 4 canal or you go to a 60ccm 4 canal, that brings you the success.
had you controlled the wheel pressure,the brakes and the chain?

I don`t have problems with the power now , me and my friend even made a cross track and we drive on it with our simsons. But I am thinking of getting a second one which I could tune to get more power . Actually my Simson beats my friend`s one which also is na enduro but he changed piston and piston rings and it should be faster but actually isn`t . He also has an Aprilia sr-50 but when he tried my Simson he loved it and bought one too

About the 4 canal stuff : Any guide on how to do that? And could a normal cilinder get up to 60 cc?

Btw I am also using a 13 teeth front gear, so it has more power but lower top speed which I don`t need

when you drive at the cross track with Simson you must have Power, the 60ccm cylinder is the right way there.
60ccm cylinder you can obstruct without problems, only for 70ccm or more you must edit the engine.
the 13 teeth front gear brings in my opinion nothing because you shift only,its to much.
but the best for the terrain is a motocross, belive me.

Well it gives me shorter gears , so I can accelerate faster or climb the hills faster etc. The track doesn`t have such long straights so i can`t use all the gears even with a 13 teeth gear i still use 3rd gear shift 4th before turn and have to go to first , cause it`s an 180 turn on a hill so ur bike slides and it`s cool
I think of getting like 12 or 11 teeth gear for my other simson that I would use only for cross , and get this one it`s normal gear and drive it normally. It`s been 3 years since I`ve been driving my Simson without doing any repairs for now and I`ve been pushing it hard. But before the start of the winter I had some electricty problems and when I was trying to fix them the kick starter just went out , so I have to take the engine apart and find out what happened.

Try first to change the timings of your cylinder like in this tutorial:

Well I think I can handle the 4 canal cylinder, I can find pistons for a 60 CC cylinder but I can`t understand most of the text . For example I can`t understand what is the second picture I think it is the piston top , but I can`t understand what should I be doing there? If anyone could translate the parts I don`t understand and has free time can PM me , I`ll try to understand the text but google translator is really unworthy
