Fuel tank from Japanese/Italian motorcycles?

Do you have the experience of installing a fuel tank from other motorcycles as an alternative to the S53 fuel tank?

Here is the fuel tank from the Honda XL600R. I did not check, but I think it would fit on the rubber fastening on the frame.

Tutaj zbiornik paliwa od Hondy XL600R. Nie sprawdzałem, ale sądzę że pasowałby na gumach mocujących na ramie.

The Honda XL600R has a fuel tank of 12 - 13 - 20 - 28 liters (depending on version).
Locke, maybe the shape will not match. Maybe from other models such as XR will fit?
